When he finally kills the Empress and creates the sands, the conflict in duty is removed. He ran in the present, and saw that he was not chased in the past, because he was supposed to be there. The relentless pursuit drove the arrogant but kind prince who would certainly never have killed the Empress if he knew the truth to become a bitter and desperate man who was willing to do whatever it takes to escape the Dahaka.Īnd the plan worked perfectly at first. So the Dahka chased him, but let him escape. Problem is, without being chased, he has no motive to travel back to the past to create the sands in the first place. The prince messed with the sands, yet must survive to travel to the past to kill Kaileena to create the sands in the first place. ensure the death of anyone who messes with those Sands. The reason behind the Dahaka's actions is simple.ġ) Primary directive: Preserve the Timeline.Ģ) Secondary Directive. Inside the ship, what on earth was Kaileena doing BEHIND the prince while they were getting it on in the bed? How on earth do the developers intend to rectify that? In the 100% (kill Dahaka) ending, the prince and Kaileena set sail for Babylon. Now there's only one piece of lore I don't understand.
PRINCE OF PERSIA 5 ENDING FREE
So the Dahaka kills Kaileena in the present to rectify this paradox and the prince is free because he never released the sands of time to begin with because Kaileena was fated to die for being in the wrong place at the wrong time (literally!! ) On bringing Kaileena to the present, it was another paradox because the sands of time and their creation was fated to happen in the past and in the present, Kaileena had not created the sands and neither had she died giving rise to them. Once the prince killed Kaileena and released the sands in the past, he returned to the present giving the Dahaka reason to kill him. So by leaving one alive, it solved that paradox and left (never attacking the prince again in the past). Hence, the only problem the Dahaka had at that moment in time was the paradoxical presence of the princes to deal with. And the sands of time were not yet released. Why didn't it kill both? Because if you remember, both princes were in the past at the time of death. The wraith and the prince existing in the same space and time was essentially a paradox that the Dahaka intended to rectify. There is only one Dahaka and its duty is to preserve the timeline. It was only after the sands of time were released that the Dahaka was "created" from that idea/blueprint because the Dahaka appears only when it is needed and leaves when the timeline is restored (killing the empress ending confirms this). The idea of the Dahaka (essentially the blueprint for the killing machine known as Dahaka) was conjured by the Gods of time long before the sands were unleashed and the Prince was fated to die. Yours is the most valid.ĭidn't understand why the story's bashed so much (except for the black ♥♥♥♥♥, she was an annoying ♥♥♥♥♥ that didn't add much to the story). I must say that i completed the game only twice and it was a long time ago, same with the others so, dont hate me if my supposition is horribly wrong. Then the prince never broke da time rules (if there are no rules nor guardians then he can do whatever he want with time) When the prince avoided the creation of them, the Dahaka wasn't necessary, so he never existed neither had to exist. I always thought that Dahaka had his role of Time Guardian just because the Sands (or kaileena, who knows) created him, or gave the possibility for him to be summoned or created when necessary. What im trying to say is that (i think) the Dahaka was the guardian of Timeline-order only when the Sands controlled the Timeline (IDK if they actually controlled it). I think that Dahaka spared the Prince when he killed kaileena 'cause the creation of the Sands was not finished.
